Maintenance mechanic

The ideal candidate will be able to carry out all scheduled maintenance and repairs on the production machinery, by checking it regularly and epairing it when necessary.

The main tasks involve reactiviating the normal functionaing of the machinery, preventing malfunctions and faults, providing emergency maintenance and reporting malfunctions. The maintenance mechanic will also carry out operation tests in order to restart the machinery and will proceed with regular maintenance of all the machines and accessories.

The successful candidate will join our maintenance team and will carry out corrective and preventive maintenenca tasks alone and/or in collaboration with his/her colleagues as instructed by the team leader, guaranteeing that interventions are carried out in compliance with regulations covering health and safety at work, food safety and the environment.

This position requires:

  • a high school diploma with mechanical/industrial automation studies;
  • experience in fault detection and the repair of electromechanical machinery, also with PLC;
  • knowledge on the use and maintenance of: mechanical, pneumatic, oleodynamic, basic hydraulical and basic electrical systems;
  • excellent manual and mechanical skills (replacement of bearings and adaptors, dismantling and assembly of mechanical components);
  • ability to identify operational faults and defective parts of systems and industrial machinery and the ability to repair and/or replace them;
  • experience in planned maintenance and repairs to machinery;
  • use of machine tools (lathe, milling machine);
  • willing to work three rotating shifts and/or continuously.
