Research and Development
At Menz & Gasser, innovation is both a need and a way of life. Every year, we plough a healthy slice of our turnover back into research and development, to keep creating top-quality products and tailor-made solutions for our customers. Our highly qualified R&D staff in well-equipped laboratories devise specific recipes bespoke to each customer. We ensure that the recipes are compatible with their products (when necessary) and assist with the production tests.
To do that, we have two specialist research & development labs dedicated to developing solutions for industrial semi-processed products and for the finished product, respectively. Our teams have achieved some small but significant revolutions, such as the savoury range and the new vegetable and other seasonings that we have developed, which have enabled us to expand our market offering.
A third research lab has come on stream in 2017 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, after the new branch opened. It will support the development of products specific to the far-eastern markets.
Every year, our laboratories work on over 150 new products; on average, 10% of our turnover comes from lines introduced less than a year ago. That enables us to keep refreshing our product portfolio to meet customers’ needs and to offer inventive solutions for their business, by anticipating market trends.
